Divorce

I have received some comments regarding my divorce in the last few weeks and just wanted to clear the air maybe about some of what is going on.

I am NOT going to be sharing the details of my private life in this circumstance because I think that it not only ruins the integrity of those involved but I think it is shameful to do so. What has happened in my life is sad very sad and I am very sad that it is happening. I will not, however, ever not be thankful for Tommy and the gifts that he has given me. He has given me two beautiful boys that fill my life with so much joy. No matter what happens in the next years I will maintain a relationship with him because of those boys. Monster and Potato need both of us in their lives and so it is my opinion to not share private details because utimatley it only hurts them.

I have respect for Tommy in regards to the divorce to that our dirty laundry does not need to be spread all over the blogosphere. It is hurtful when someone writes mean things about someone else and while I do not like what is going on or choices either one of us have made, I will not be doing any Tommy bashing.

We have both made choices that have consequences. This is the consequence. It is sad and tragic and I never wish this upon anyone-EVER.

I ask the same of friends and family that mean things not be shared with others. I hope that that can be something that everyone we have contact with can respect and follow along with.

An ounce of creativity

My parents have been away on an ALASKAN CRUISE for the last two weeks. today they are coming home and late last night I came up with this:

Our Rhyme Just for You!

A Lot of things have happened since you’ve been away,
We’ve been really busy as we hope you can say
It may not be perfect but it worked just for us.
Dusting and vacuuming were definitely a must!
TJ and Owen were great helpers too!
They helped in the garden to pick some stuff just for you!
Zucchini and squash and a few tomatoes too
They helped pick them all they were just SO very helpful
They watered the lawn and got soaking wet too
They said did this just for YOU!
We played inside on the wet wet wet days
Lego’s and blocks were our games we played
We acted like kittens and doggies too,
It got Emma upset but she eventually played along too
Emma and Sadie were such good sports,
They played well with others and jumped on Potter just for sport!
The cats well there cats and they were sometimes hard to find
But Sassy came in-just the knick of time!
Potter did his job of chasing them too,
What he couldn’t understand is that they chased him too!
The chickens well they were stubborn about giving up their eggs,
Mommy had to pick them up by the crotch so she didn’t get pegged!
They gave up lots of eggs so many you see we couldn’t eat them all up so we put them away
We put them away for another hungry day.
We’ve had lots to do and we got it all done
We even squeezed in just a little fun!
Now a disclaimer to you who’ve been on vacation,
Do not enter the dungeon for it is quite a mess.
It s a work in progress we must confess.
It got clean and got dirty and unorganized too
But on whole the house is here safe and sound.
No one was injured and everyone found
The house is still standing, we’re fed, well and happy,
The time has now come to give it back to you
Hope you had fun and we love you too!

Long time no blog!

Soooooooo......its been awhile. My camera isn't charged and no cute pictures of the boys to post. Or of my super cute hair! It is probably down past my shoulders and DARK brown!! Ps. I have bangs...not like little wispy ones either. I am talking full blown bangs. I think they are cute but again I guess I am a little partial to my own hair!

In other news, Jillian Michaels is KICKING MY BOOTY!!! I have been doing her 30 day SHRED. I thought I was gonna die the first time but now I am getting better and I can see my cut calves again (thank you years of cross country running-you have given me legs like no other when they are in shape!)! YIPPEE!!! It's no lie...I was a skinny little thing before children. I kinda was depressed and let myself go: hey it happens after two kids and divorce. Not too bad but I am ready for my smokin hot bod to be back! Dollie and I are working hard and its going great! I'm already losing!

I really wish I had a recent picture. But alas I do not. So wondering why I have a new blog title? It is because.......I blog barefooted! Seriously, what is the point in shoes most of the time? They just slow ya down. Dont' get me wrong I have plenty of heels that would stop traffic but I like being barefoot. I typically dont wear shoes at work either when I dont have to. I am professional and all but when I dont have a client those puppies are OFF! My coworkers think its funny. I tell them that I may not be a Southerner but I did grow up in the boonies and so no shoes for me!

Well as random as this post is (I'll probably regret it later and post edit or something) I must find out what the weiner dogs are doing. Potter has this obsession of chasing my mother's cats. The cats chase him and its hysterical!

TJ and T-Ball Practice

(I know he's not even one in this picture but it is so perfect of his personality. Mr. Shy)

TJ is old enough to play T-ball and so we asked him if he would like to play Tball or Soccer. He chose Tball after we explained what each sport was. Little did I know that this would be a test for him. A test again that it is OK for him to not be near his Daddy, to learn to play with others and be ok with it.

His first practice was last week-at 6:30. He practiced all afternoon with Daddy. He would get fustrated about not catching the ball but hey he's four. So at practice he is the youngest of all the children. THE ONLY FOUR YEAR OLD!!! I thought he'd at least pick the grass but participate and be excited. NOOOOO...not my kid. My kid was the kid that climbs the fence, hides in the dugout and has to be drug around the field by either myself or Tommy and to top it all off would stomp off and scream. It was rather embarrassing and I could hear the other parents snicker a few times. I was mortified. As I sat on the bleachers and even tried to intervene a few times I thought to myself what was I thinking?!

The coach's assistant coach-his wife bless her heart, took TJ up in her arms-still SCREAMING, and shoooed Tommy away. Tommy went behind a building and peeped between the wall and the fence to see TJ but TJ couldn't see him. TJ STILL SCREAMED!!! But she held him. She loved him.

I loved him. I was dissapointed in him but I loved him. I was sad for him but I loved him. When practice was over I thought for sure that they would have said "Im sorry but this might not be the right timing for TJ." But they DIDN'T! They said see you next practice and we will have fun!

Tomorrow my mom is coming. She's had them all weekend. Tommy won't be coming to practices any more. He can't. It's sad. It makes me sad. TJ just can't handle it. I can't understand why.

I love him. I get dissapointed and fustrated but I love him. Next practice will be better and if not that practice then the next one and we will continue to try, even if it takes to the last game of the season. This is my prayer!

The Pumpkin Patch

I realize that my posts latley have not reflected much of T and I together or our whole family together. It's sad really. T works such a weird schedule and so we are never sure when he'll be home or not. He misses out on a lot. My poor guy!! But he's an AMAZING Dad and does so much with the boys and me when he is home. I am greatful for that.

Today T took TJ and Owen to their preschool's Pumpkin Patch field trip since I had a training at work that I couldn't miss. I am so glad he got to spend that time with the boys eventhough I am a little jealous I didn't get to go!!!

TJ and his best friend Adien. They used to be in the same class but now that they switched things around at the daycare they aren't but they are the best of friends and are so excited to see eachother! They insisted to hold hands the whole day!

The kids had a BLAST!! They got to see farm animals, and pick a pumpkin and go on a hayride. T said they just loved it!!
